Elder Connection Events
Elder Connection is a monthly social enrichment program designed to help older adults stay engaged, creative, and connected to their community. Held on the second Wednesday of each month, each gathering includes a shared lunch, a planned activity, and plenty of time to visit and build friendships in a welcoming, relaxed environment.
Activities vary from month to month and are chosen to encourage fun, creativity, and meaningful connection. Past gatherings have included hands-on craft experiences at local venues such as Quinton’s Craft House, as well as special performances by community groups like the Collinsville Middle School choir. These experiences give participants opportunities to try something new, enjoy local talent, and feel connected to the wider Collinsville community.
Lunches and activities are provided at no cost to our clients thanks to the generous support of community partners such as Senior Services Plus. To attend, participants simply need to contact the Faith in Action office at 618-344-8080 at least one week in advance to reserve a spot. Transportation can also be arranged with a minimum of seven days’ notice.
Elder Connection is about more than an event—it’s about reducing isolation, fostering friendships, and creating moments of joy and connection for the seniors we serve.
