FIA Collinsville: Faith in Action
Volunteer Caregivers provide transportation, friendly phone calls, seasonal yard work, home repairs, shopping services, and so much more to local seniors. Volunteers set their own schedule and choose the type of volunteerism they most enjoy. In 2025, CFiA volunteers provided 3,500 of service to our community valued at over $52,500. The hours our volunteers donated is up 15% from just one year ago.
Our Answers on Aging (AoA) specialist is trained and certified to offer Medicare counseling for those new to Medicare or those who want to review their plan annually. The AoA specialist can also assist you with applying for the discounted license plate sticker so that you pay just $10 instead of $151. Here to answer your questions about aging, we can provide you with information, assistance, and referrals to support available in our community. Call 618-344-7788 for any of these free services.
Elder Connection is a monthly get-together that includes lunch, an activity, and a chance to connect with others. Held on the second Wednesday of each month, you simply need to contact the office at 618-344-8080 one week ahead to reserve your spot. Transportation can also be provided with at least 7 days’ advance notice. The lunches and activities are at no cost to our clients thanks to community partners such as Senior Services Plus.
